About Andy

Andy Long

Ever since he had his own paper route delivering newspapers as a kid, Andy Long has always been drawn to doing things on his own when it came to making money.

As a young teenager, he harvested seaweed from ledges in the ocean off the coast of Massachusetts and sold it for 3 cents a pound… pocketing more money for a few hours of work than most boys his age did working all day.

He has always been drawn to "Being Your Own Boss." He has had various small businesses, including a landscaping and a painting business. In this self employed capacity, he has worked in the oil fields, in real estate finance and has also bought and sold distressed real estate.

Over the years, Andy learned about the advantages and disadvantages of different business models. How some could hold the promise of large incomes but also had the potential for burying the owner under mountains of expensive overhead and debt.

During a phase of keeping his business costs as low as possible, he started doing web sites for businesses… at which point he discovered the power of the internet. Using what he had learned about marketing through the web, he phased out his web design business and, as a rep for a billion dollar corporation, built a large customer base completely through the internet. All while working from his home office.

Not satisfied with the restrictions that this corporation was putting on his marketing, he walked away from that company and began again. He now enjoys working from home with complete independence, using a business model that allows him to fully employ his internet marketing knowledge, and maximizing all the most important business success components.

Andy spends his spare time sailing and hang gliding. He lives in Northern California.
